It was reported by various European outlets and transfer experts on February 15, 2024 that Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain he intends to leave the club at the end of the season.

Despite signing a new two-year contract in the summer of 2021, which included a 12-month extension option for the 2024-25 season, Mbappe holds the sole authority to trigger this extension, not PSG.
